Preschool Press 1/14/19

Dear Parents,

Welcome back preschool families! We hope you enjoyed a restful break in the company of family and friends. There are many wonderful things happening in preschool that we would like to share. We are thrilled to welcome back Mrs. White! She has worked hard to get back to us so quickly after her knee replacement. Many of you may have read in News Views, Katherine Chandler our 3-day morning assistant, as been promoted to co-director of the Day Care Program. Her time and dedication over the last several years, is so appreciated! We would also like to welcome our new student Ava in the afternoon! She is a wonderful addition to our class.

Our letter this week is “Nn” and we will create Ned the Narwhal. We will also learn some interesting facts about Penguins and make Penguin books. To honor Martin Luther King Jr. we will read stories about how he helped make the world a better place, and what we even as preschoolers can do, to spread kindness and love to others.

Last week we learned about the Wise Men and how they brought Jesus special gifts when they visited. This week our focus will be on the Holy Family’s journey to Egypt.

With the help of our puppets Sally and Bob, the second step lesson will be a review of how to calm down when we have strong feelings, and how to help others when they are feeling sad, angry, or lonely.
